Meet the brewers
Five friends who started brewing in a shed because we loved real ale and wanted more of it. This is us.
It started in a shed
There are five of us, and it began the way these things do. A love of real ale, a shed in Willerby, and enough curiosity to have a proper go at brewing our own. The first batches were small and the kit was borrowed, but the beer was good enough that people kept asking for more.
So we kept going. We named the beers after a jazz band of characters, put them on cask, and started taking them out to festivals to see what people made of them. Turns out, quite a lot.

Building a proper brewery
The shed got us started and now a slightly larger space but it can only make so much beer. We're on a mission to grow as the wonderful people of East Yorkshire really seem to like our beer!
We're not a big operation and we're not pretending to be. We're five mates brewing beer we're proud of, growing it at a pace we can stand behind, and pouring it for anyone who fancies a pint.
